Designed with multi-generational travel in mind and for larger group stays, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas has launched new family-style villas just in time for travellers seeking their next winter sun escape. Setting the bar in spacious beachfront living and a welcome addition to the resort’s collection of multi-bedroom private pool residences introduced earlier this year, these new accommodation options consist of four Two Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villas and eight One Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villas. Complemented by the wide array of activities and tailor-made experiences available at this island sanctuary, families will be entranced by the enriching memories waiting to be discovered.

TWO-BEDROOM FAMILY BEACH POOL VILLA

Enveloped by lush landscaping and spread across 4435 square feet, families can uncover a truly serene retreat just steps from a pristine white beach. A 39-foot swimming pool runs alongside an extensive outdoor sun terrace. Fitted with massage jets and submerged seating, the pool sets the stage for leisurely days. Exchanging tales of wonderment over meals is made more comfortable with a shaded dining sala and outdoor barbecue pit complete with a sunken dining lounge.

Ample space and privacy are assured for every member of the family. The villa comprises two separate bedrooms – one King and one Twin, both of which include a day bed, a fully-equipped refreshment centre and wine fridge, and an en suite bathroom. In harmony with the light, airy, green surrounds, guests can enjoy the freedom of an outdoor shower or luxuriate in the oversized bathtub, whilst relaxing to the lulling sound of the bathroom’s waterfall feature, interrupted only by the occasional birdsong. An additional sleeping room suitable for one adult is located within the interconnecting space between both bedrooms, ensuring convenience for parents travelling with children or additional family members.

With nightly rates starting from USD $4,500, the Two Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villa can accommodate three adults and two children, or five adults.

ONE-BEDROOM FAMILY BEACH POOL VILLA

A tranquil pool hideaway measuring 2777 square feet, these villas sit amongst natural foliage and coconut palms on the 30-acre island, with direct access to powdery sands and into ultramarine waters.

Ideally suited for families with young children, the villas feature separate sleeping quarters suitable for children under 12 years old. Calming white walls and natural teak wood furnishings complete the atmosphere, creating a cosy space where little ones can be at play or at rest, whilst parents unwind with some me-time, whether reclining on the outdoor deck’s sun loungers or swing bed.

The One Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villa can accommodate two adults and two children, with rates starting from USD $2,200 per night.

THE KIHAVAH COLLECTION

Whether perched over the crystal-clear lagoon against the majestic backdrop of the Indian Ocean or nestled along the pristine beach, Anantara Kihavah’s collection of two-, three-, and four-bedroom pool residences – the Kihavah Collection, is the epitome of luxury at its most spacious.

Staying true to the heritage of the destination, each residence features Kajan thatched palm roofs and Balau hardwood flooring on its expansive outdoor decks. Rattan details and Maldivian motifs further accent the tropical vibe of each room. Floor-to-ceiling doors of the living and dining room effortlessly slide open for sweeping oceanic or lush jungle foliage views. Each residence is also fitted with its own professional working kitchen, double-bed spa treatment room and gym featuring a range of fitness equipment. With a dedicated Villa Host to attend to every need, and a Wine Sommelier and Personal Chef service on request, a stay in one of these residences is a promise of a truly private escape.

Generously spaced at 14,316 square feet for the Two Bedroom Beach Pool Residence or for the quintessential Maldivian experience of the Two Bedroom Sunset Over Water Pool Residence, to a commanding 16,146 square feet for the Four Bedroom Beach Pool Residence, the Kihavah Collection is the embodiment of island living at its most luxurious.

FAMILY ADVENTURES

From land-based activities, to undersea adventures and wonderous encounters under the night sky, families will delight in the memories waiting to be discovered together.

Snorkel or dive at the best house reef in the Maldives, home to hundreds of tropical fish, Hawksbill Turtles, Nurse and Reef Sharks, Spotted Eagle Rays, and Jacks, just to name a few of the local inhabitants. Experienced instructors, first-class rental equipment, comfortable dhonis and reef dive sites cater for both beginners and experienced explorers. In glass-bottomed kayaks, guests can follow the edge of the reef fringing the island for some of the best overwater views of the oceanic life thriving in their natural habitat. If staying dry is preferred, hop onboard the ‘Ocean Whisperer’ for a sunset cruise or dolphin discovery excursion.

Catering for children aged six to 11 years old, a trio of marine biology programmes is available. Designed to provide an educational holiday, young explorers can join the resident marine biologist on a turtle quest or manta snorkelling excursion or take part in coral transplanting and essential research snorkelling adventures.

Named after the beautiful seashells found on the sugar-white beach encircling the island, ‘Thiththi Boli Kids Club’ offers complimentary daily supervised programmes, fun arts and crafts activities, indoor and outdoor sports, and games for younger guests between four to 12 years old.

With six restaurants and bars, each offering a distinctive setting, menu and ambiance that divulges a different view of paradise, families are spoiled for choice when it comes to dining. Nowhere is this more spectacular than at SEA, the resort’s signature underwater restaurant and wine cellar. Whether at breakfast, lunch or dinner, all the family will be entranced and entertained by the diverse marine life playing hide-and-seek amongst the coral reefs.

As the sun sets, the night sky comes alive under a canopy of a thousand stars. Discover the secrets of the universe with stargazing encounters led by the resort’s SKY Guru, or simply spend time together enjoying a movie outdoors on the widescreen with a Cinema Under the Stars movie choice.
